The San Luis Valley Ski Hi Stampede Rodeo was founded in 1919 and is a PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) sanctioned sporting event that is a

non-profit organization made up of over 200 volunteers. 

Every summer over 10,000 rodeo fans gather to celebrate the event that has received four nominations for PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year.
